ST. VALENTINES 5K & 10K RUN/WALK

To register early online go to http://www.racesonline.com/ or register on Friday, February 12th from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Schnuck's Grocery Store on Kirby Whitten.

Couples Sweetheart Division for 10K Only
In this division, teams consist of two members (one male and one female).  They both run the entire 10K and their times are added together to determine the winner.  There will be an overall winner and age group winners.  Age groups will be determined by the average age of the team members.  Also, if you are in the Sweetheart Division, you ARE eligible for all other individual awards.

Post race refreshments and the awards ceremony will be in the comfort and warmth of the Grace Presbyterian Fellowship Hall.  The run will feature sweatshirts, great food, door prizes and more.  The first 100 females to cross the finish line will receive a red carnation.  For more information, call Singleton Community Center at 385-5593.                                      

                                                        


EASTER EGG HUNT & EASTER BASKET CONTEST
          Saturday  *  March 27th  *  W.J. Freeman Park * 2629 Bartlett Blvd.

Basket Judging:     9:30 a.m.
Easter Egg Hunt:  10:00 a.m.

Don't miss the annual Bartlett Parks and Recreation Children's Easter Egg Hunt and Easter Basket Decorating Contest. Baskets will be judged on creativity, originality and visual appeal in the following age categories:  3 & under; 4 & 5; 6 & 7; 8 to 10.  The hunt will feature lots of candy and plenty of special golden eggs that win bigger prizes.  The Easter Bunny has once again promised to come and start the hunt and stick around to have his picture made with all the children.  The Parks Department will also have some additional activities including the Moonwalk and Balloon Typhoon.  Face painting and crafts will also be available for a small fee.


PET SHOW

Calling all animal lovers!  The City of Bartlett will host its annual Pet Show.  There will be area vets on hand to talk about spaying, neutering, micro chips, pet care and free dental checks.  There will also be half priced adoptions.

At 10:00 a.m. we will have the costume contest for any animal who wishes to dress up!  Then we will have the regular competition where 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place trophies will be awarded.  This year's show will also feature special awards recognizing each animal's special, individual features.

Registration is $10 and the fee along with the name of the pet and the name of the pet owner, breed of pet, address and phone number can be dropped off or mailed to:

12TH ANNUAL GOLF TOURNAMENT
                   * Thursday  *  May 13th  *  Noon  *  Quail Ridge Golf Course  *

The Bartlett Parks and Recreation Department will host its 12th Annual Golf Tournament.  The Tournament will be held on Thursday, the 13th of May at Quail Ridge Golf Course.  It will be a 4-person scramble with a shotgun start at 1:00 p.m.  The entry fee is $80 per person which includes green fees, cart, range balls, beverages and lunch.  The awards will include 3 filghts and 3 places, longest drive, closest to the pin, putting contest and hole-in-one.  The tournament benefits the American Cancer Society and is sponsored by Emergency Mobile Health Care.
