Saturday, August 28, 2010—8:00 p.m. JEFF DANIELS Sponsored by ROSE CONSTRUCTION Though best-known for his film career, most people don’t know that Jeff has been writing songs since the early 70’s. A few years ago someone suggested that by going on stage and singing some of his humorous and often touching reflections on his life and career, he might be able to raise some funds for his pet project, the Purple Rose Theatre in his Michigan hometown. The actor turned troubadour returns to the Bartlett stage for an encore performance that will have him singing one minute about the joys of being killed by Clint Eastwood, and the next he bares his heart in a song about his first date with his future wife, Kathy.
