Piano Buddies-ages 6+
Piano lessons are more fun with friends! This 60 minute small group class for beginning piano students age 6-9 meets on Saturday morning. Activities include individual and group keyboard instruction, theory and listening games, and lots of music fun. A keyboard or piano at home is required, print materials are included. Limit of 5 students/class.
$200/12 weeks. Saturday morning 10:00-11:00
Piano Pals-age 2 ½-5
A special piano introduction for our youngest beginners and a parent. Classes are 45 minutes long. We will focus on learning musical skills, including solfege, rhythm and motor skills, and transferring this to the piano and other instruments. Games and movement activities are included. A piano or keyboard at home is strongly recommended.
Homeschool music classes-Fall 2022-All classes are scheduled on Wednesdays.
10:00-11:00-Small group homeschool piano lessons- ($200/semester)-This beginning piano class focuses on early keyboard technique and music reading in the treble and bass clef. Books/sheet music is included. Students should have a piano or keyboard at home, and home practice/theory work will be assigned. (Limit four students per class)
11:00-12:00-Small group homeschool piano lessons- ($200/semester) This beginning piano class focuses on early keyboard technique and music reading in the treble and bass clef. Books/sheet music is included. Students should have a piano or keyboard at home, and home practice/theory work will be assigned. (Limit four students per class)
12:00-1:00-Homeschool Orff/Vocal music. This group class will focus on music making in a group setting, including vocal and instrumental music in an Orff-based class. The Prodigies Music curriculum will be used, in conjunction with seasonal materials. $100/semester- print materials included. There is no homework for this class.
Homeschool music class age 9+ (this runs at the same time as the age 6-8 homeschool art class)
1:30-3:00-Homeschool general music/choir. This class will spend half the time focused on sight singing, solfege, and choral ensemble, and the other half focused on general music, including pre-band skills on wind and percussion instruments. Students will be able to check out instruments for home practice, and instrument rental is included in the cost of this class. $150
Note-students taking both art and music are welcome to bring lunch to eat between the end of the morning session at 1:00 and the afternoon session beginning at 1:30.
