The mission of the City of Bartlett's Investigative Services Division is to enhance the quality of life for the citizens of the City of Bartlett by providing a safer community in which to live through the identification and deterrence of criminal activity.

The role of the Investigative Services Division is to combat crime by the provision of prompt, diligent, and proactive investigations while respecting the rights of the citizens of th City of Bartlett.

The Division accomplishes this mission by maximizing the use of traditional investigative techniques in combination with the most current technological resources available. The Division works in close cooperation with other internal units of the Police Department , as well as other local, state, and Federal law enforcement agencies to accomplish its ultimate goal of successful response to the needs of the citizens of the City of Bartlett.

The Investigative Services Division of the Bartlett Police Department is divided into two separate sections, General Investigations and Narcotics A portion of the General Investigations staff are specialized and work primarily in the area of Financial Crimes.
