Pottery
Come, relax and have fun, be creative and learn the fundamentals of pottery. Our classes are taught so all levels of experience can enjoy creating and learning new processes and techniques. The community atmosphere encourages sharing of ideas while making connections with like-minded people. Hand Building Slumped Texture Class $120 for a 6 week session

The focus of the first session will be on simple, slumped projects that you will apply texture to. Among the techniques you will use are sliptrailing, carving, sprigging and stamping. Julie Anderson-Malanga has taught ART in pre-school programs, public schools, homeschool groups, several universities, & out-reach services for youth. In addition, I have conducted art workshops, given private art lessons, taught art @ Arlington Middle School, and have taught Continuing Education classes (most recently for the Memphis College of Art). Bachelor of Fine Arts degree and Master’s of Art Education: Curriculum and Instruction
Your child will learn about different artists, techniques and styles. Each session the students learn more in art to put in their personal ART “skill” library! Students will draw, paint, print, sculpt, collage and more! Some materials that will be used: watercolors, pencil, charcoal, oil pastel, ink, acrylic, canvas, and mixed media! Each student will have their own sketchbook as well as portfolio.
