Welcome to the Bartlett Station Historic District

Live, Work, Play, & Shop

The City of Bartlett, located in the geographic center of Shelby County, has a long, rich history of carefully planned development and growth.

The town started as a lone stagecoach stop on the Memphis to Nashville route in the 1830s and is now the 2nd largest city in Shelby County and the 9th largest city in the state of Tennessee. Though the area has changed immensely since those early days of rural development, the small town spirit thrives, with industrial and retail businesses, churches and many city amenities making Bartlett a well balanced city.

The City of Bartlett truly cares about its residents, and strives to provide an unequaled quality of life for our citizens and community.

Bartlett was ranked "Top 100 Places to Live" by CNN and Money Magazine due to its combination of economic opportunity, good schools, safe streets, things to do and a real sense of community.
