Crime Report

Week of August 4, 2008


A theft was reported by the victim on St Phillip.  She advised that approx $24,500 worth of jewelry was taken from her closet. 



An assault occurred at the drive thru of First Tennessee Bank when the victim was approached by a M/B.  The M/B approached the driver’s side of her car and began screaming at her that she needed to go back to where she came from.  Ms. Taylor was frightened and pulled out of line and called the police. 



A burglary was reported at 7302 Memphis Arlington at Above and Beyond Electrical.  The business owner, Nathan Harmeier, advised that someone broke out the front window to the business and entered.



A theft of money was reported from the Waffle House at 2931 Germantown Road.    Total amount of money taken was about $142.



A vandalism was reported at the Senior Citizen’s Center located at 5727 Woodlawn.  The wood railing on the east side of the building was damaged.  There were tire marks that led up to the damage.  Estimated damage is $200.



A theft of several air conditioners was reported at 5806 Stage Road by the maintenance manager.  He advised that two A/C units have been gutted for copper over the past 3 weeks.  Cost to replace units is $4000.



A theft of a toolbox was reported from a shed on Pecanhill.  The victim advised that the theft occurred sometime over the past 8 weeks and that door might have been unlocked.



An assault was reported by the victim who advised that he had a party at his residence on Cloverhill.  During the party a guest was making one of the women uncomfortable and the victim said something to him.  The guest then hit Rogers twice in the face with a closed fist.  Victim is unsure if he wants to press charges.



A burglary was reported at JacksonHouse Plumbing, 4011 Broadway, by the owner.  He advised that someone made entry through the back door and climbed through the ceiling tiles to enter the office.  An HP laptop was taken (value $ 2500) and $300 in cash.  



A theft complaint was reported by the victim in the area of 3300 Harmon Cove.  She advised that someone stole several pieces of jewelry from her home.



A fraud was reported by the victim who advised that someone contacted him concerning a student loan that he co-signed for.  He advised that he never co-signed for any loan. 



A vandalism complaint was taken from the victim in the area of  3300 Spinner’s Cove.  She advised that an unknown person threw a beer bottle at her 2006 Nissan Maxima.  She said that there was a party at in the neighborhood and she thinks that they might have been responsible.



A found debit card was turned in at HQ when it was found in the ATM machine at the Bank of America, 6186 Stage Road.



An auto burglary was reported by the victim in the area of 5400 Stage Road.  She advised that someone had entered her 1999 Saturn and shuffled through the center console.  The doors were not locked.  Nothing appeared to be missing.



A domestic report was filed by the victim on Keeshond Cove who advised that her husband grabbed her arm and pushed her down the hallway.  Both parties had just returned from a family cookout in AR and a primary aggressor could not be determined.



A fraud was reported at Bancorpsouth at 6675 Stage Road when a F/W tried to get a cash advance on a VISA card.  The cash advance was denied due to fraudulent activity on the card.  Video is available.



A disturbance was reported at the TN Highway Patrol Licensing Building involving a female and the security guard.  The security guard allegedly pushed the female subject in the stomach area several times in an effort to get her to leave the building. 



An armed robbery was reported by the two victims at the Country Home Buffet, 6697 Stage Road. 



A fraud/theft report was filed by the victim who lives on Baird Lane.  She advised that her grandson has used her credit card fraudulently. 



Two auto burglaries were reported on Virgil.  Both victim advised that their cars were broken into someone went through the interior of the cars but nothing was taken.  One victim stated that his vehicle was unlocked.



An attempted theft of several cases of Red Bull drinks was reported at Kroger, 5995 Stage Road.  The suspect is a F/W with blonde hair. 



A fraud was reported when the victim said that a woman that he let stay at his house was writing checks on his Regions Bank account without his knowledge.  She has moved out and it is unknown where she might be located.



An auto burglary was reported at St. Francis Hospital by the victim. His Pioneer radio was taken.



A harassing phone call report was filed by Arcadia Healthcare, 6061 Stage Road. 



An aggravated burglary was reported by the mother of the victim for a house on Memphis Arlington.



A counterfeit $20 bill was discovered in the jail lobby when a female tried to use it to make a bond for someone.



A harassment report was taken from the victim when her nephew began receiving harassing messages from a neighbor’s son.



A shoplifting complaint was filed at 6600 Stage Rd at the Dollar General Store.  The manager advised that 2 F/B and 1 M/B left the store with a package of diapers with a value of $11.88.



A vandalism report was filed at Bartlett High School when the boy’s locker room door had been smashed in. The building was checked and it did not appear that entry had been made into the building. 



A burglary was reported at 5730 Ferguson Rd at Invigorating Décor.  Business owner will contact BPD if there are items missing.



A domestic disturbance was reported on Sawbriar Cv by the victim.  She advised that she and her boyfriend got into a fight over the electric bill.  No arrests were made.



ID theft was reported by the victim.  She advised that when she called Comcast to set up service at her home on Claredale she was told that someone was already using her social security number.



An attempted burglary was reported by the homeowner on Yorkhill.  He advised that someone had tried to pry the window unit out of his upstairs bedroom in an attempt to enter the home.  Damage was done to the window seal but no entry was made.  Damage is approx $50.



An aggravated burglary was reported in the area of 3800 Cherryhill by the homeowner.  She advised that someone entered her home by removing the window air conditioner unit.  Several items were taken including an entire computer system, an Xbox and games.  



An auto burglary was reported at FireBirds, 8470 Hwy 64 by the victim.  He advised that he went into eat at approx 2015 hours and exited the business around 2150 and his Avis rental car had been broken into.  Numerous electronic items were taken.



A fraud was reported by the victim.   He advised that an unknown subject used his information to pay several bills online.



A theft was reported by Oak Tree Homes.  They advised that unknown suspects stole a 3 ½ ton Goodman furnace and coil from the home.



An aggravated burglary was reported in the area of 3900 Robinhill by the victim. 



A domestic assault was reported by the victim who stated that her brother spit on her and threw a bicycle at her. 



A theft of a Troybuilt Self-propelled 6.75 HP lawn mower was reported by the victim on Sylva Rena.



An aggravated burglary was reported on Pine Oak Lane by the victim.  She advised that sometime during the hours of 0830 and 1615 hours someone broke into her home by pushing out a window A/C unit in the back of the house.



A domestic assault was reported on Shallowhill by the victim.



A report was filed on a violation of a protection order in the area of 3700 Stonehill. 



An aggravated burglary was reported in the area of 3600 Gillia Circle West by the homeowner.  



A harassment complaint was filed at Simoniz CarWash, 6800 Stage Road, by the manager.  



A domestic disturbance was reported on Cale Falls.
