Theft of services from 6859 Hwy 70 (Mapco). A declined credit card was used to purchase $43.00 in merchandise.
080824-0014 Det. Thompson
Victim reported an identity theft. Victim advised that approximately 10 accounts have been opened using her information amounting in over $25,000 in debt.
080823-0011 Det. Carter
Victim reported that a Sony Handycam was stolen from his residence.
080823-0006 Det. Christian
The First Phase Barber Shop was burglarized between the hours of 1900 on Aug. 22nd and 0900hrs on Aug 23rd. Unknown suspects stole items totaling $1220.00. Items included an Xbox 360, games and barber equipment.
080823-0008 Det. Cici
Several mailboxes were damaged in the area of Oak Road and Andrews. A vehicle side mirror was located at one of the residences. This mirror was found to match a vehicle that was impounded on that same night following a DUI arrest. Charges will be filed against that driver.
080823-0016 Det. Wilson
The clerk at 8110 Hwy 64 (Circle K) reported a theft of beer from the business. Suspect stole an 18 pack of bud light.
080823-0005 Det. Carter
The victim reported an auto burglary that occurred at his residence between 2030hrs on Aug. 22nd and 0830hrs on Aug. 23rd. A Jensen car stereo valued at $870.00 was taken.
080828-0002 Det. Jones
BPD responded to 7410 Memphis Arlington (Youth Villages) regarding an assault. A Counselor was assaulted by a juvenile who was being housed at the facility. The assault occurred when the counselor was attempting to stop a fight between other residents at the facility.
080827-0020 Det. Thompson
BPD responded to 8068 Hwy 70 regarding a fraud. Complainant advised that a check for $935.00 was issued using his account number under a different business name. Complainant is not familiar with this business and gave no authorization for the account information to be used.
080827-0031 Det. Wilson
BPD responded to a residence regarding a missing person. Complainant reported that his wife left for work on the morning of Aug 27th and was due home at 1815hrs but did not arrive. The victim has worked for a company downtown for 42 years and never deviates from her schedule. She has no known health issues. Victim was entered into NCIC as a missing person.
080827-0025 Det. Leatherwood
BPD responded to 2985 Brunswick (Lakeside) regarding a runaway. A juvenile jumped from his mother’s moving vehicle as she was transporting him to Lakeside Hospital. He was last seen running into the wooded area south of Lakeside Hospital near I-40. He may have been injured while jumping from the vehicle.
080827-0029 Det. Christian
BPD responded to 6815 Stage (CK’s Coffee Shop) regarding harassment. Suspect, has been calling the business 50 to 60 times a day trying to reach an ex-girlfriend. The suspect called an additional 10 times while the reporting officer was on the scene. The suspect did threaten the officer over the phone when he was told to stop calling and issued a trespass warning for the business.
080828-0010 Det. Thompson
The General Manager of Petco located at 6015 Stage reported a theft by an employee. The employee stole $1267.00 by completing 13 fraudulent refunds.
080828-0020 Det. Martin
BPD responded to a theft of lawn equipment. Victim advised that his echo brand backpack was stolen from his lawn equipment trailer. Witness stated that he saw three m/b’s looking at the victim’s trailer around the time the theft occurred. The m/b’s were seen leaving the area in a white Ford F-250.
