090420-0001 Theft (Shoplifting)
Officers responded to a theft/shoplifting complaint a the Circle K store located at 8110 Highway 64 where store management reported a M/B approximately 30 years old stole three packages of beer leaving the scene in a red SUV having a broken tail light and displaying a Arkansas temporary registration in the rear window.

090420-0004 Robbery
Officers responded to a robbery at the Playcare Learning Center located at 6634 Highway 70 where victim/complainant reported seeing a F/B described as thin and having red braided hair exit her vehicle with her purse. She confronted the suspects who were occupying a red/maroon Pontiac G-6 with Texas registration and was punched in the face and dragged by the vehicle. She sustained minor injuries from being dragged by the vehicle.

090420-0006 Juvenile Complaint
Officers responded to the area of Valley Lake Dr where a M/B was seen by a complainant who refused walking in between houses in the area. Officers found the M/B juvenile walking on Kirby-Whitten and after investigation found he was supposed to be at home on house arrest. He was placed into custody and transported to Shelby County Juvenile Court.

090420-0008 Suspicious Person
Officers responded to a welfare check/suspicious person at Highway 64 & Santa Valley and suspect yelling profanities at passing traffic. He told officers he was talking to his brother and was planning on walking to Little Rock Arkansas. His parents made the scene and advised they were taking him to an area hospital due to not taking his medications and having outbursts when he got out of the vehicle. Officers determined he was a danger to himself/others and was transported to the Regional Medical Center for a psychiatric evaluation.

090420-0009 Aggravated Assault
Officers responded to a wounded party at St. Francis Hospital (Bartlett) where Youth Villages staff reported a male juvenile resident was stabbed by another male juvenile during chapel services. Officers made a follow up investigation at Youth Villages located at 7410 Memphis-Arlington locating the suspect who confessed to stabbing the victim because he became agitated during a phone call with his mother. Officers recovered the weapon used in the stabbing, a screw driver, and transported the suspect to Shelby County Juvenile Court. The victim sustained minor injuries and was treated and released from the hospital.

090420-0010 Juvenile Complaint
Bartlett High School Resource Officers were informed of a student smoking marijuana in the West building by school staff. Officers located the student and found him to be under the influence of marijuana. During the investigation officers located the student who provided the marijuana, recovered a small amount of marijuana from his person, and arrested him for possession of a controlled substance on school property. The intoxicated male was issued a juvenile summons and released to a parent/guardian, the student found possessing the marijuana was transported to Shelby County Juvenile Court.

090420-0011 Theft (Shoplift)
Officers responded to a theft/shoplifting complaint at the Walgreens located at 5950 Stage Rd where store management reported a M/B entered the store and concealed approximately $550.00 worth of over the counter medication, passing all points of sale, leaving the store in a older model red compact sedan with a primer color hood.

090420-0012 Civil Matter
Officers responded to the Bartlett Criminal Justice Center where complainant reported his ex-wife withdrew a large amount of money from his First Tennessee account. Bank employees informed him that due to his wife still being listed on the account the bank had to honor the transaction.

090420-0013 Traffic (Weapons)
Officers on patrol stopped a subject for a traffic violation at Stage Rd & Kirby-Whitten for a traffic violation and found her drivers license to be suspended. A search of her purse found her to be in possession of a Jennings Arms .22cal pistol with an altered/obliterated serial number. She stated to officers she “confiscated” the pistol from a relative and “forgot” she had it in her purse.

Officers responded to a harassment complaint on Alfaree where complainant reported finding a threatening note attached to her door.

090420-0018 Traffic
Officers on patrol stopped a subject for a traffic violation at Highway 70 & Appling and found his drivers license to be suspended.

090420-0029 Civil Matter (Child Custody)
Officers responded to a civil matter/child custody dispute at the Bartlett Criminal Justice Center located at 3730 Appling Rd where complainant reported a subject picked up her son after school in violation of a court order. She could not produce any documentation nor the order.

090420-0025 Traffic
Officers on patrol stopped a subject for a traffic violation at Stage Rd & Elmore Park and found her drivers license to be suspended.

090420-0034 Assault (Domestic)
Officers responded to a domestic complaint at Memphis-Arlington & St. Elmo contacting a subject who reported he had been in a fight with his father at their residence. Officers observed him to have blood covering both hands. Officers made a follow up investigation at their address. Suspect was found to be the primary aggressor and transported to the Bartlett Criminal Justice Center on domestic assault charges.

090420-0035 Vandalism (Vehicle)
Officers responded to a vandalism complaint at the Circle K where store employee reported her vehicle was scratched from front to back with a sharp object. She advised a regular customer witnessed a fellow employee vandalize her vehicle.

090421-0001 Disturbance
Officers responded to an assault report on Claredale where victim/complainant reported on 04/19/09 that a subject arrived at his residence and assaulted him.

090421-0003 Theft (Shoplift)Officers responded to a theft/shoplifting complaint at the Wal-Mart Neighborhood market located at 6520 Memphis-Arlington where store management reported two males walked behind a register and stole an undetermined amount of cigarettes and left the scene in a red Mercury SUV with an Arkansas temporary registration.

Officers responded to a theft complaint at Shadowlawn Middle School located at 4734 Shadowlawn where school officials reported unknown suspect(s) stole a Shelby County School lap top computer from a counselor’s office. The stolen lap top was entered as stolen in NCIC.

090421-0004 Theft/Fraud
Officers responded to a theft complaint on Explorer where victim/complainant reported unknown suspect(s) stole and used several of her credit cards at area stores. She advised that while shopping at Kroger located at 5995 Stage Rd she forgot her wallet that contained the credit cards and believes that is when they were stolen.

090421-0009 Burglary (Auto)
Officers responded to a auto burglary complaint on Carrie Brook Cove where victim/complainant reported unknown suspect(s) broke into his vehicle stealing a Garmin GPS. The GPS was entered into NCIC as stolen.

090421-0013 Harassment (Phone/Text Messaging)
Officers responded to a harassment complaint at the Bartlett Criminal Justice Center located at 3730 Appling where victim/complainant reported a subject has been calling and text messaging him excessively with threats of causing him pain like he caused her. He advised that she is an ex-girlfriend that he had an extra marital affair with and is upset due to him reconciling with his wife.

Officers responded to the Bartlett Criminal Justice Center located at 3730 Appling Rd. where complainant reported she provided an ex-employee a River Moving Company credit card for company expenses but he used it to make several personal transactions. She closed the account and has executed affidavits’ of forgery with the financial institution the account was drawn on.

Officers responded to a theft/shoplifting complaint at the Walgreens store located at 5950 Stage Rd. where store management reported two F/B’s entered the store, placing $200 worth of merchandise in a cart, and leaving passing all points of sale without paying. The F/B’s left the store in a white Jeep Grand Cherokee.

090421-0019 Theft
Officers responded to a theft complaint at Bon Lin Middle School located at 3862 Germantown Rd. where school administrators reported that a student was caught stealing other students personal items. The student was issued a juvenile summons and released to a parent/guardian on the scene.

Officers on patrol stopped a subject for a traffic violation at Stage Rd. & Kirby-Whitten and found his drivers license to be suspended.

Officers on patrol stopped a subject for a traffic violation at Stage Rd. & Altruria and found his driver’s license to be suspended.

090421-0021 Harassment (Oral Threat)
Officers responded to a harassment/oral threat complaint on Devine where victim/complainant reported a subject has called and left several messages to harm him and his wife.

090421-0033 Animal Complaint
Officers responded to an animal bite complaint on Blackwell Cove where victim reported while working in his yard a neighbor’s dog bit him on the calf. Animal Control officers took the dog to the animal shelter for observation.

Officers on patrol stopped a subject for a traffic violation at Stage Rd. & Altruria and found her driver’s license to be suspended.


090421-0025 Theft (Shoplift)
Officers responded to a theft/shoplifting complaint at the Rite Aid store located at 6850 Highway 70 where store management witnessed and had detained a subject for stealing merchandise. He was arrested, issued a misdemeanor citation and released on the scene.

090421-0031 Traffic
Officers on patrol stopped a subject for a traffic violation at Stage Rd. & Bartlett Blvd and found his drivers license to be suspended.

090421-0030 Theft (Shoplift)Officers responded to a theft/shoplifting complaint at Sam’s Club located at 8480 Highway 64 where store management reported two M/B’s entered the store, stole two lap top computers passing all points of sale with out paying. On 04/22/09 the two M/B suspects were observed entering the store where management called the police. Officers attempted to stop the suspects who fled on foot from them after a foot chase both were apprehended.

Officers responded to a property damage/civil matter complaint on Beagle Trail where complainant reported while driving in the area of Raner Creek & Rockyford a tail light from a fell off damaging her vehicle.

Officers on patrol stopped a subject for a traffic violation at Stage Rd. & Elmore Park and found his drivers license suspended.

090422-0004 Traffic (DUI)Officers on patrol in the area of Daybreak & Billy Maher observed a vehicle stopped and partially blocking a lane of travel. Officers observed the driver climb over the vehicle’s seats and exit a passenger side rear door. She had an odor of an intoxicant on or about her person. Officers located empty beer cans in and outside of the vehicle. She refused to submit to a field sobriety test or a BAC test. She was found to have been operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of an intoxicant.

Officers responded to an assault complaint at the Bartlett Criminal Justice Center located at 3730 Appling Rd where complainant reported that on 04/09/09 she witnessed a teacher from Rivercrest Elementary school assault her daughter by pushing her with two fingers on her shoulder. Jordan advised school officials will not return her calls and she wanted a report to document this incident.

090422-0009 Disturbance (Criminal Trespass)Officers responded to a disturbance on Robin Hill where complainant reported her ex-boyfriend arrived at her residence and demanded to see her, when she refused she reported he entered her vehicle and stole her cell phone.

Officers responded to a theft complaint on Sycamore Hill where victim/complainant reported she believes her ex-boyfriend stole several pieces of jewelry from her residence.

Officers responded to a fraud complaint at the Bartlett Criminal Justice Center located at 3730 Appling Rd where complainant reported unknown suspect(s) deposited several fraudulent checks into his Regions Bank account and later withdrew the money.

Officers responded to a vandalism complaint on Elmore Park where victim/complainant reported unknown suspect(s) vandalized her mail box.

Officers on patrol stopped a subject for a traffic violation at Bartlett Blvd & Elmore and found her drivers license to be suspended.

Officers on patrol in the area of Yale Rd. & Oak Rd observed a subject operating a motorcycle at a high rate of speed. Officers stopped him and he had an odor of an intoxicant on or about his person and he failed a standard field sobriety test. He submitted to a BAC test registering a 0.130 blood alcohol level.

Officers responded to the Bartlett Animal Shelter located at 5220 Shelter Run Ln where animal control office reported as he was picking up a miniature pinscher running loose in the area of 3400 block of Spinners Cove it bit him on the right hand.

Officers responded to an auto burglary complaint at Wolfchase Nissan located at 2956 Germantown where a possibly known suspect broke into a vehicle on the lot stealing a navigational system from a vehicle that had been traded in for another vehicle.

Officers responded to a theft complaint at Rainbow Health & Rehab of Memphis located at 8119 Memphis-Arlington where staff reported unknown suspect(s) stole a flat screen television from an unoccupied room.

Officers responded to a theft/shoplifting complaint at the Wal-Mart located at 8400 Highway 64 where loss prevention officers witnessed subject and a female juvenile select, conceal, and pass all points of sale with $200 worth of merchandise.

090423-0025 Assault (Domestic)
Officers responded to a domestic assault on Cloverhill and found subject assaulted his girlfriend by punching and choking her. He was determined to be the primary aggressor and was arrested on the scene.

Officers responded to a abandoned property complaint at Bartlett Blvd & Venson and recovered a purple Mongoose Stormer mountain bike that was placed on the BPD impound lot.
