Cop's Corner with Captain Cupp

Captain David G. Cupp

Captain Cupp is the daytime shift commander for the Bartlett Police Department. Captain Cupp will provide citizens of Bartlett with information useful to Bartlett residents concerning traffic and public safety and little known facts about the Bartlett Police Department.

This week's topic:
Police Memorial Week

Starting May 10th through May 16th is National Police Memorial Week. This is a time set aside each year to remember our Fallen Officers. Even though Bartlett has not had an officer killed in the line of duty we have over 100 officers ready and willing to do what ever it takes to fight crime and make Bartlett a safe haven to raise our families. If you notice when a tragic event or a disaster takes place you will see many people running from the danger, those few people running toward the danger will be the Police Officers.

I am asking the Citizens of Bartlett to join us in remembering those that gave their lives and to pray for the Men and Women who run toward the danger every day on this special week.
