Cop's Corner with Captain Cupp

Captain David G. Cupp

Captain Cupp is the Traffic Division Commander for the Bartlett Police Department.

Each week Captain Cupp will provide citizens of Bartlett with information useful to Bartlett residents concerning traffic and public safety and little known facts about the Bartlett Police Department.

The Topic this week is: Vacations

With the warmer weather here and school coming to a close many will be thinking about those short trips out of town. As you prepare for these “Road Trips” the topic always comes up about leaving your home unoccupied while you are away. Many of you will just have your neighbors keep a look out for your things while you are gone. I want to tell you about a service the city offers its citizens regarding vacations called “Vacation Checks”.

By going to the cities web site you can complete a request on line giving your details to The Bartlett Police to check your home while you are away. Your house will be checked three times a day until you return home. This is just one service the city offers on this web site so check it out.

By the way it’s still OK to have your neighbors look after things but it doesn’t hurt to have the police make regular visits there also.

Be safe and as always forward any questions or concerns to me at
