Cop's Corner with Captain Cupp

Captain David G. Cupp

Captain Cupp is the Traffic Division Commander for the Bartlett Police Department.

Each week Captain Cupp will provide citizens of Bartlett with information useful to Bartlett residents concerning traffic and public safety and little known facts about the Bartlett Police Department.

The Topic this week is: The Extreme Heat

As every one probably knows with this extreme heat we have been having, and will have, we need to look after each others well being. This means checking on your family members and also your neighbors for their safety. There are, however, residents living inside the city limits of Bartlett that have no family and live alone. We at the Bartlett Police Department offer our assistance to those that have no one to come by and check on their well being. This assistance is available through our web site at www.cityofbartlett.org under the category of Quick Links “Vacation & Security Checks”. For those unable to enter the web site you may call the Bartlett Police Department Dispatchers at 901-385-5555 and leave the information with them. So if you have a family member living in Bartlett or know someone that needs assistance to look in on them please contact us.

An Officer will do a “Knock and Talk” with each person needing assistance. You are not alone…….We are here to help you.

Be safe and feel free to send me those traffic questions or other concerns regarding the Bartlett Police Department.
