PARKS & RECREATION ADVISORY BOARD

Purpose

This board serves as a subsidiary commission to the Board of Mayor and Aldermen:

  • Advises on and reviews parkland recreational facilities and recreational programs
  • Advises on and reviews long-range recreational plans
  • Coordinates and recommends properties and/or recreational facilities
  • Reviews the maintenance and utilization of all buildings and physical facilities devoted to park and recreation programs

Membership

The Parks and Recreation Advisory Board consists of 9 members appointed by the Board of Mayor and Aldermen. A member of the Board of Mayor and Aldermen serves as an ex-officio member.
