Having taken advantage of the many training opportunities offered by the city and a lot of hard work and dedication over his 35-year career, In January 2023, Mayor David Parsons appointed Aaron A. Davidson as the Assistant Director of Public Works.
Aaron started in the Parks Department in 1988, but quickly transferred to Public Works where he has spent most of his time in a management/leadership role. He was named Grounds Maintenance Division Manager in 2007.
During this time Aaron designed many beautifully landscaped medians around town and is “Responsible for the creation and maintenance of a citywide grounds-cutting map layer for the Grounds and Parks Department in GIS. This map is utilized daily for field staff via the Connect Explorer app in the field.” While managing the PW Grounds Maintenance Division, and by using the data collected, Aaron developed an extensive Bermuda Release Spray Program that saves the city thousands of dollars, man-hours, equipment ware, and repairs, it also has improved the City’s appearance and was evidentially adopted by the Park’s department and the School system.
Assistant Director Aaron A. Davidson is a graduate of Bolton High School and is married with two step-children and two grandchildren. Aaron enjoys restoring old cars, and spending time with his wife and grandchildren when he isn’t working.
