1. Do I have to be a Bartlett Resident?

Yes.

2. When is the judging?

April through October each year.

3. Do I need to be home to receive the award?

No. However, you will be contacted by a Bartlett City Beautiful volunteer, and at the earliest convenience, your signature will be required for our records.

4. How are the yard winners selected?

The Bartlett City Beautiful Commission divides the City of Bartlett into subsections; each volunteer of commission has their assigned section. By using their own preference, the best yard in their section is chosen.

5. How is the civic property winners selected?

The Bartlett City Beautiful Commission divides the City of Bartlett into two subsections; one volunteer of commission has their assigned section. By using their own preference, the best business lawn in their section is chosen.

6. If I win, what awards do I receive?

(This applies to residential and commercial properties.)

A handsome ‘Bartlett City Beautiful Yard of the Month’ sign.

An attractive certificate hand signed by Mayor A. Keith McDonald.

The winner’s address will be published on the City of Bartlett’s website.

An invitation to a fall reception to recognize all Yard of the Month winners for the year.

7. When and how long do I keep the yard sign?

The yard sign will be awarded to the winners at the beginning of the month. At the end of the month the yard sign will be retrieved by the Bartlett City Beautiful Commission volunteers.

This applies to residential and commercial properties.

8. What should I do if the yard sign is stolen or damaged?

If the yard sign is stolen, call the Bartlett Police.

If the yard sign is damaged, contact the Office of Community Relations, 385-5589, and they will contact the Bartlett City Beautiful and the yard sign will be placed out of service for repairs.

9. Can I nominate a yard or my yard for Yard of the Month?

Yes, Provide street address communityrelations@cityofbartlett.org The address will be forwarded to the appropriate volunteer of the commission for viewing. This process does not guarantee a Yard of the Month selection. A yard nomination is good for one judging per growing season.
